Xi'an is not only a city of monuments. It lives in classrooms, neighborhoods, family kitchens, handmade noodles, and traditions passed between generations.

The Beilin Museum preserves centuries of written memory through stone inscriptions and calligraphy. The Shaanxi History Museum makes the worlds of the Zhou, Qin, Han, and Tang visible through objects of ritual and everyday life.

As the eastern gateway of the Silk Road, Chang'an absorbed people, beliefs, ingredients, and ideas from across Eurasia. That history still appears in Xi'an's breads, noodles, lamb dishes, spices, and generous shared tables.
